Services we offer

Play Therapy

For our youngest clients, play is used as the method to promote healing and growth. It is an interpersonal process where the therapist is using the therapeutic method of play to help achieve optimal growth and development.

During a play therapy session, there are few rules and limits imposed as this encourages free expression. The goal is to help children learn to express themselves in a healthier way and to develop personal and interpersonal skills as well as learning coping skills.

Therapy for Tweens and Teens

Therapy for middle and high school children and teens is different from play therapy for younger children and individual therapy for adults. The therapist provides a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space where the tween/teen can explore various aspects of their lives without the worry of what the therapist might think.

The therapist often utilizes apps and technology both in and between sessions to promote progress.

Individual Therapy

For the adult client, we offer short- and long-term therapy. Short-term therapy focuses mostly on finding solutions to current life stressors, treatment of trauma and on developing coping skills. Long-term therapy focuses on deeper healing of interpersonal relationships, alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depression and healing of early and extensive traumas.

Couples Therapy

In couples therapy, the focus is on understanding and resolving problems, dissatisfaction and conflicts the couple is experiencing and focusing on deepening the connection, achieving better communication, increasing trust and enhancing intimacy. Couples therapy can address a wide range of relationship issues, including recurring conflicts, feelings of disconnection, an affair, issues related to sex or difficulties due to external stressors.

Parental Support

We partner with parents to work through difficult moments in parenting by helping parents identify and manage their experiences that may be impacting their relationship with their children. Parenting therapy provides a judgment-free zone for parents to discuss tough moments in parenting and learn how to better manage these moving forward. Parenting therapy aims to provide parents with the necessary knowledge, tools, guidance and support to take care of their children in the most ideal way possible.

Touch Work

Touch work is a gentle method where the therapist’s hands are listening and guiding rather than manipulating. Focus is on the holding both in the muscles and of the breath. In life we use our muscles to restrict, trying to contain feelings and memories. The touch is meant to be a support for the client in letting go of old holding patterns both in the muscles and the nervous system and open up to experiencing more aliveness and a greater sense of well-being.

Yoga Therapy

As mental health practitioners, our emphasis of therapeutic yoga is social, emotional and psycho-spiritual growth and development. As therapeutic yoga specialists, we use an array of evidence-based tools, grounded in yogic philosophy, practice and literature to address your particular needs. Our goal is to help you get out of your own way through connecting with the inner wisdom of your unique body, mind and heart.
