Khadijah Ahmad is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) pursuing dual licensure. She is based in Milpitas, CA, and was born and raised in the Bay Area by immigrant parents. She draws from her bi-cultural and multilingual background (English, Punjabi, Urdu, and Hindi) to offer culturally responsive, inclusive, and affirming care.
As a first-generation college graduate, Khadijah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from San José State University in 2017. After seven successful years in the tech industry, she felt a strong pull toward more meaningful, people-centered work. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in December 2025 and has over a year of experience working in community mental health, supporting clients from diverse and underserved communities.
Khadijah’s therapeutic approach is deeply person-centered, somatic, and relational. She believes that the ways we relate to ourselves and others — both emotionally and physically — offer important insight into patterns of distress and healing. She is EMDR-trained and integrates trauma-informed care with evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through a humanistic and existential lens, she emphasizes empathy, attunement, and authenticity. Khadijah values the therapeutic relationship as a meaningful space for growth and works collaboratively with clients to build awareness, self-compassion, and connection.
She is passionate about supporting children, adults, couples, and families navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and family system disruptions. Khadijah strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported in their healing process.
Outside of her professional work, Khadijah enjoys connecting with nature, painting, boxing, watching movies, spending time with loved ones, and hanging out with her cat, Lito.
